Q: What does it mean to host on Yadoly as a landlord?
A: As a landlord on Yadoly, you have the opportunity to share your accommodation with our community of tenants and earn money doing it. It's easy to create a listing, and you have control over your price, availability, and rules for each listing.
Q: Do I need a license to rent my property on Yadoly?
A: To avoid the 180-day regulation on home-sharing, a rental contract is necessary for stays of over 30 days at a home-sharing property. If there is no separate contract with the guest, it will be considered as part of the 180-day limit, so it is necessary to sign a "fixed-term building lease contract" that ends within the designated period before the guest arrives. Some monthly property reservation sites allow for online signing of such contracts, and cloud-based signature services are also useful if online signing is not available. Note that if the stay is less than one month, even with a rental contract, it will be considered a lodging contract, so caution is necessary (even if the contract period is terminated and a new guest is accepted before the contract expiration date, making it effectively less than one month).
Q: What happens when I accept a booking request on Yadoly?
A: When you accept a booking request on Yadoly, you are entering into a contract directly with the tenant, and are responsible for delivering the landlord services under the terms and at the price specified in your listing. You also agree to pay applicable fees like Yadoly's service fee (and applicable taxes) for each booking.
Q: What is my relationship with Yadoly?
A: Your relationship with Yadoly is that of an independent individual or entity and not an employee, agent, joint venturer or partner of Yadoly, except that Yadoly Payments acts as a payment collection agent as described in the Payments Terms.
Q: How can I create and manage my listing on Yadoly?
A: Yadoly provides tools to make it easy for you to set up and manage your listing. Your listing must include complete and accurate information about your accommodation, price, charges (such as cleaning fees, and security deposits), and any rules or requirements that apply to your tenants or listing. You are responsible for keeping your listing information (including calendar availability) and content (such as photos) up-to-date and accurate at all times.
Q: What are my legal obligations when hosting on Yadoly?
A: As a landlord on Yadoly, you are responsible for understanding and complying with any laws, rules, regulations, and contracts that apply to your listing. For example, some landlords or homeowner associations restrict or prohibit subletting.
